"TAG" Advocacy Posters
"TAG" Advocacy Posters / 24 x 36 inch Posters
These two tag posters were inspired by examining environmental advocacy. Through research, I discovered a huge problem of clothing waste in America. Since it is an issue we tend to overlook when we're shopping I thought I'd bring more attention to it using the "TAG" as my platform. I used the topic of t-shirts and fast fashion to narrow down the subject matter. I felt that as consumers, we weren't aware of what went into the process of making our clothes, especially the average t-shirt and felt the need to bring that to the consumers attention. In the hopes that this would bring attention to what we were wasting, and make the viewer think twice about "throwing away" a t-shirt.
I also felt the fashion industry played a major role in the amount of clothing waste the US was creating. I played with the idea that incorporated brand identification and imagined an editorial that urged the consumer to take action, and address how fast fashion affects the environment.
